Dubai's Digital Economy Chamber Empowers 308 New Ventures in First Half of 2025, Marking a 39% Year-Over-Year Increase in Supported Start-Ups

In the first half of 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy (DCDE) has taken significant strides towards strengthening Dubai's digital infrastructure and creating an environment that nurtures innovation and entrepreneurship.

One of the key initiatives undertaken by DCDE was the support of 308 high-potential digital startups, marking a 39% increase from the previous year. These startups were established and grew their businesses within Dubai’s digital ecosystem.

To further enhance partnerships and provide platforms for startups to connect and collaborate, DCDE organized 10 local networking events. In addition, 15 international roadshows were conducted to showcase Dubai’s advanced digital business ecosystem globally, promoting both Dubai as a tech hub and the upcoming Expand North Star event.

Expand North Star, the world's largest startup and investor event, is scheduled for October 2025. As part of this event, the Supernova Challenge will be held, the region's largest startup pitch competition. Startups that participated in the pitch competitions held during the roadshows had a chance to qualify for the final stage of the Supernova Challenge.

DCDE also facilitated entry for startups into the Supernova Challenge, offering them exposure to global investors. The winner in each city of the pitch competitions received a fully sponsored opportunity to participate in Expand North Star 2025.

The roadshows featured presentations on Dubai's competitive advantages and the comprehensive support offered by the chamber to digital startups seeking to expand into the emirate. The support provided by DCDE helped establish and grow the businesses of these startups in Dubai.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, is at the helm of these initiatives. The goal is to provide foundations for success for talents and digital companies, and support their expansion from Dubai to global markets.

DCDE is dedicated to developing an integrated digital business environment by strengthening digital infrastructure, enhancing legislative and regulatory frameworks, and fostering a supportive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in Dubai. The chamber is committed to building impactful pathways for these companies to thrive, innovate, and expand from Dubai to the world.
