Dialogue with Sergey Georgiev

We are thrilled to announce that Sergey Georgiev has joined our team as the new Senior Business Development Manager. With a rich background in internet and information law, and a passion for drone technology, Sergey is set to bring a unique perspective to our mission.

Originally from Bulgaria, Sergey studied law in Germany before discovering drones in his final year as a student. His fascination led him to start building his own drones and flying FPV (First Person View). This passion eventually led him to spend almost nine years at DJI's European Headquarters, where he helped public safety officers, governments, and large enterprises start their drone programs.

At our website, Sergey will continue his mission to spread the good word about drones helping society. His priority for his first year is to help government and enterprise users adopt drone technology. He is particularly excited about the trend of drones as first responders, as drone-in-a-box solutions like the DJI Dock 2 can help with remote operations in difficult-to-reach places, minimizing or eliminating risk for humans, and making inspections much more efficient.

Our team is strengthened by aviation experts who support customers with their SORA / BVLOS applications and ensure full compliance with EU regulations. Sergey is eager to learn and exchange more with the team about SORA applications and EU regulations.

Sergey is also excited to help a European startup grow and show the world that good software is not only made abroad. He looks forward to meeting customers and partners, exchanging ideas, and sharing his knowledge and experience. You can connect with Sergey on LinkedIn.

Key segments, such as autonomous drones and agriculture-specific innovations, are expanding rapidly, with the AI in drones market forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 27.5%, reaching over $2.7 billion by 2030.

Sergey is particularly excited by these trends, as they open new commercial and technological opportunities. He is particularly drawn to the surge in autonomous and AI-powered drones, agriculture-specific innovations, and the industry's dynamic expansion and partnerships.
