Development commences: Linkenheim-Hochstetten unveils the initial phase of "Carré am Markt" project

The Carré am Markt project, a significant development in Linkenheim-Hochstetten, is making steady progress. The second construction phase of this ambitious project is expected to be completed by the first half of 2026.

Mayor Michael Möslang (CDU) recently stated that life is now moving in the project, signifying its advancement and the excitement it has generated in the area. The first construction phase, which included houses B1, B2, and A, as well as the western part of the quarter square, was inaugurated on a specific date.

Building C, designed for commercial use on the ground floor and 12 apartments above, is part of the ongoing second phase. The commercial spaces in Building C will soon welcome new shops, doctors, restaurants, and service providers, including a Greek and an Asian restaurant, a tile studio, a boutique with a tailor, and another doctor's office.

The project, with an investment volume of 45 million euros, is being implemented by F&C Projektbau GmbH, a subsidiary of Cuffaro Wohnkonzepte GmbH, and FWD Hausbau- und Grundstücks GmbH. Cuffaro has already opened his Skybar in building A, and the Hardt police station will also be located there. Ernsting's Family, a bakery, and a dental practice are already operational in building A.

The municipality is investing 300,000 euros in the design of the square, ensuring a pleasant and inviting environment for residents and visitors alike. Houses D1 and D2, which are still under construction, have 21 apartments each. As of now, 50 percent of the apartments in building C and 30 percent in houses D1/D2 have been sold.

Two more parts will follow on the square, for which feedback from the population is sought. Furthermore, a further office and commercial building E is currently planned, adding to the project's growing presence in Linkenheim-Hochstetten.

The flagship project "Carré am Markt" was started in November 2022, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the town's development. The project's completion will undoubtedly be celebrated by the entire area, as it promises to bring a vibrant mix of commercial and residential spaces, enhancing the town's appeal and providing a boost to local businesses.

Other commercial entities, such as a real-estate office, are anticipated to join the shops, doctors, restaurants, and service providers in Building C. The ongoing development of the Carré am Markt project, with its focus on finance-backed investing in real-estate, is expected to bring a diverse ensemble of commercial and residential spaces to Linkenheim-Hochstetten, contributing to the town's growth and the local economy.
