Contenders for Effie UK's 2024 Awards have been announced
The Effie UK Awards, a prestigious celebration of marketing effectiveness, has announced its finalists for the 2024 programme. This year marks a significant milestone with the highest number of entries received to date, showcasing the industry's commitment to strategic insight, creativity, and business results.
The 52 finalists, including ITV's ITVX and Boots' 'Menopause: Real Change Comes From Within' campaigns, can be viewed on Effie UK's website. Rachel Emms, Managing Director of Effie UK, expressed her gratitude to the judging panel for their hard work and acknowledged the difficulty of the process due to the high number and quality of entries.
ITV's ITVX campaign, created by Uncommon Creative Studio, earned two nominations and was also shortlisted for the Effie Awards. The campaign, which has given a new lease of life to the traditional broadcaster, is a testament to its success.
Boots' 'Menopause: Real Change Comes From Within' campaign, run by VML, was shortlisted in two categories. VML is the most shortlisted agency this year, making it to the final round of judging for 8 awards. Other notable agencies in the finalists include McCann, Uncommon, and Mother, each running for 6 awards.
The categories with the most shortlisted entries were Sustained Success and Positive Change. The winners of these categories, along with the rest of the awards, will be revealed on 19 November at the Effie UK Awards ceremony.
The global Effie Awards also saw a strong showing, with 58 marketing campaigns announced as Global Grand Contenders for the 2024 Global Best of the Best Effie Awards. These finalists come from 25 countries and cover 19 industry sectors, with the highest representation from food and drink, non-profit, and financial services sectors.
Some of the 2024 Global Grand Effie winners include Intuit QuickBooks' "Think Ote", Skittles' "Apologize the Rainbow", Fundación Casa Ronald McDonald Ecuador's "The journey", WhatsApp's "WhatsApp: the privacy gesture", Cheez-It's "Aged by audio", Fire and Emergency New Zealand's "You’re cooked", and WeCapital's "Data Tienda".
The Effie UK Awards ceremony will be a celebration of marketing excellence, offering congratulations to every finalist for reaching the final round of the competition. The ceremony's featured image is the ITVX campaign, symbolising the vibrant and innovative marketing landscape in the UK.
