Construction underway for the latest barrier structure.
Starting on August 4, 2025, Hessen Mobil will commence a retaining wall renovation project on Frankfurter Straße in Fulda. The construction site is located at Frankfurter Straße 145.
The renovation work is necessary due to the existing retaining wall's aged condition, which poses a threat to long-term traffic safety. To ensure the safety of workers and road users, certain traffic regulations will be implemented.
The direction of traffic south, towards the Bronzeller roundabout, will not be affected by the closure. However, the direction from the Bronzeller roundabout towards the north will be closed between the entrances of Frankfurter Straße from the industrial area onto federal road B254. This traffic will be rerouted as a one-way street around the construction site during the work.
The closure will cause the traffic from the closed direction to be rerouted via the Bronzeller roundabout, B27, and Kohlhäuser Straße. It is advisable to plan alternative routes in advance to minimise disruptions.
Hessen Mobil asks all road users for their understanding of the necessary restrictions during the construction period. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
For precise and up-to-date information about the renovation project, specific traffic restrictions, and recommended alternatives, contacting Hessen Mobil directly or checking local traffic advisories and official municipal websites is advisable. Questions regarding public transport should be directed to RMV.
Safety is a priority during such infrastructure renovations, and traffic restrictions such as lane closures or temporary detours are common to ensure safety and facilitate construction. Alternative routes are usually indicated via signage.
It is essential to adhere to the traffic regulations and signage to ensure a smooth and safe journey during the renovation period.
The renovation project on Frankfurter Straße 145 in Fulda, initiated by Hessen Mobil, involves the finance sector, as the project requires funds for its execution. The closure of certain directions in transportation, such as the northbound lane from the Bronzeller roundabout towards federal road B254, affects the industry sector, potentially disrupting the supply chain and commerce in the industrial area.
