Construction of Three Roadside Hotels in Sverdlovsk Region At Cost of 660 Million Rubles
In a significant move to boost tourism and improve transport infrastructure, the Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, Denis Pasler, and the company TriA Development have announced plans to construct three city-level roadside hotels in the region.
Project Overview
The developer, TriA Development, specializes in hospitality and infrastructure projects. The hotels will be strategically located along major highways, catering to travelers, truck drivers, and tourists.
Investment
The total investment for these hotels is expected to be around 2 billion rubles, a substantial sum reflecting modern construction standards and hospitality services. The funding will likely come from a mix of private investment and potential regional government support or incentives.
Timeline
The preliminary planning for these hotels started in early 2024, with construction expected to commence in the second half of the year, following the securing of necessary permits. The hotels are scheduled for phased opening between late 2025 and early 2026.
Project Details
Each hotel will feature around 50-100 rooms, including standard and family accommodations. Facilities will include restaurant services, parking areas, conference rooms, and will be designed to provide comfort for long-distance travelers. The hotels will adhere to modern sustainable building practices, aiming to minimize environmental impact.
Impact and Significance
The project is expected to create new jobs during construction and hotel operation, enhance travel convenience and road safety for drivers, and support regional economic diversification and growth in the hospitality sector.
The Arakaй Resort
Separately, a resort named "Arakaй" is being built near Yekaterinburg, close to the "Oleniy Ruchyi" nature reserve. This resort, designed for vacations, will offer modern accommodation and feature pedestrian, cycling, and skiing trails, an open-air cinema, a congress hall, a concert stage, a rope park, sports, and children's playgrounds. Thirty-eight cottages will be built for families with children at the Arakaй resort.
Region of Focus
TriA Development considers the Sverdlovsk region as one of its priority directions for network expansion. The company already operates 12 roadside hotels throughout Russia, with another 10 under construction.
This project represents a collaboration between government leadership under Denis Pasler and private sector initiative through TriA Development to modernize infrastructure and promote regional development in Sverdlovsk Oblast. For updates or more detailed financial disclosures, official Sverdlovsk regional government or TriA Development releases may be consulted.
Investments in hotel real estate increased by 27% year-on-year in the first half of 2025, according to separate reports. The new high-speed M-12 highway in the region is stimulating tourism development and making it investment-attractive. The Arakaй resort is not related to the previously mentioned roadside hotels by TriA Development.
