Construction of the new barrier will commence.

On August 4, 2025, Hessen Mobil will commence the renovation of a retaining wall on Frankfurter Straße in Fulda. The work, which aims to ensure long-term traffic safety, will take place at Frankfurter Straße 145.

To carry out the renovation, a half-lane closure will be implemented at the construction site. This will necessitate certain traffic restrictions during the construction period. Road users are kindly asked to understand these necessary measures and follow the traffic regulations for their safety and that of the workers.

The direction of traffic from the Bronzeller roundabout towards the north will be closed between the entrances of Frankfurter Straße from the industrial area onto the federal road B254. This closure will result in a detour, with traffic being rerouted locally via the Bronzeller roundabout, B27, and Kohlhäuser Straße.

However, the direction of traffic south, towards the Bronzeller roundabout, is not affected by the closure. To maintain smooth traffic flow, the affected section will be managed as a one-way street around the construction site during the works.

Questions regarding public transport should be directed to RMV. For more detailed information about the traffic diversions and project duration, it is recommended to consult official Hessen Mobil press releases, local government announcements, or traffic advisory notices issued closer to or at the project start date.

Hessen Mobil asks for everyone's cooperation and understanding as they work to improve the infrastructure on Frankfurter Straße in Fulda. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The renovation of the retaining wall by Hessen Mobil on Frankfurter Straße, aimed at ensuring long-term traffic safety, may impact the finance sector as businesses along the affected route might experience a drop in income due to reduced foot traffic. Additionally, the diversion of transportation due to the highway closure, as well as the detour via B27 and Kohlhäuser Straße, could potentially lead to delays in the delivery of goods in the industry sector, particularly those relying on quick and efficient transportation from the industrial area to the federal road B254.
