Stop the fiscal fuss, mate! Thanks to Saxony's wise Economics Minister Dirk Panter (SPD), companies in Saxony no longer have to worry about repaying Corona economic aid they may have received incorrectly. The Ministry of Economics has suspended the repayment, and neither will anyone be hassled with reminders. Panter, in response to emerging existential fears, explained the step.
Minister's Calming Gambit
In response to the existential fears, panic over, fam! The temporary repayment suspension was Panter's soothing move. Clearer rules on who's eligible for keeping the grant, or modified conditions for repayment, are already in the works. Coin Flowing Free in Saxony
A whopping 75% of Saxon companies received subsidies totaling almost three billion euros during the pandemic, with funds flowing in as bridging aid and immediate aid from federal coffers[2]. So far, almost every second case requires repayment, so it's nice these companies get a breather.
Corona Cash Clawed Back Central Germany
Over in Central Germany, 170 million euros in Corona immediate aid have been returned after an investigation by WDR, NDR, and SZ[1]. But hey, no worries about that here in Saxony just yet!

Restart Culture: What Remains of Funding?
