Hey Hayley! You're smashing it in the world of small business marketing. Spill the beans – what motivated you to dive headfirst into helping small businesses thrive?

Well, I've started four businesses, and truth be told, I've made my mark in numerous industries, from fashion and candles to marketing the world's biggest alcohol brands. The side hustle, 'Hayley Kate' (yeah, my personalized candle biz), landed me international clientele and fueled my passion for teaching other business owners how to craft magnetic, authentic marketing strategies. I'm all about using storytelling as a secret weapon, and I love every minute of it. It's safe to say small businesses are the backbone of our economies, and I'm striving to cut through the marketing BS for their benefit.

As a mom of two boisterous boys and expecting another, how on earth do you balance your entrepreneurial ambitions with family life? Let's chat tips for those of us juggling entrepreneurship and motherhood!

I truly believe that my businesses are what make me a more present mom, and being a mom makes me a better business owner. It's a beautiful symbiosis, really. I've learned not to stress the small stuff, to let go when necessary, and accept that striving for perfection isn't always realistic.

I've realized that there are no gold stars to be won, and I've learned to lean on family for support. Outsourcing tasks has been a game-changer, from finding help with cleaning, gardening, and online shopping to hiring staff for my business. The virtual assistant? My secret weapon!

With your busy schedule, what's a typical day in your world look like? Prioritizing tasks like a pro, eh?

I've found that day blocking works best for me. I basically have days dedicated to my boys, days for my business, and CEO days offsite. And let's be real, there are mornings where exercise is a priority (gotta keep those endorphins flowing!) followed by park playdates with the kids and their dad.

I've also mastered the art of turning off email notifications on my phone, allowing me to be fully present with my family without distractions. With baby number three on the way, life will inevitably change, but the big kids will still stick to the day-blocking routine we've got going on.

You've witnessed numerous businesses soar under your guidance. Time for a showstopper story: one that shows the power of your marketing magic!

I'm currently working with a legal tech firm that had zero online presence at the beginning. I mean, zero. They had a dormant LinkedIn account, but that was about it. Being a tech company doesn't necessarily translate to digital prowess, but this team was advanced in their product and leading in the market.

I'm beyond proud to have revamped their brand through their social media channels, creating extensions of their brand that allow them to share their story and connect with customers and future customers on a more personal level. They're now more relatable, approachable, and trustworthy, all thanks to a consistent, purposeful presence.

In just three months of working with them, we've seen a 150% increase in unique LinkedIn page visits, an increase in custom button clicks by 150%, and a 300% increase in unique page views. And the growth continues!

I've always believed that consistent education is the key to success. I learn through online courses, podcasts, books, and high-level masterminds with other business owners. I'm also part of a book club with like-minded individuals, ensuring I stay grounded and balanced.

I've found a sense of community in my work, and I've created my own membership to educate and empower business owners. This community aspect has been incredibly rewarding, fostering collaboration and support among members. Education and connection go a long way in the world of entrepreneurship.

Looking back on your incredible journey, what hard-won lessons have left a lasting impact on your approach to business and marketing? Any pearls of wisdom for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Life is a rollercoaster of emotions, and business is no exception. There will be tough days, but keeping a positive mindset and an active exercise routine will help you weather the storm.

One lesson I learned is that confidence cannot be taught – you must cultivate it through your actions and interactions in your business. Embrace your uniqueness and be yourself, and you'll find that every experience is a valuable learning opportunity.

Read widely and continue to learn, for knowledge is indeed power. And don't sweat the small stuff – it's all part of the process, and you'll grow and improve along the way.

Making a positive impact in the world of small-business finance and marketing, Hayley has taken leaps to guide small businesses with authentic marketing strategies, transforming them into successful ventures.
