Automaker Mercedes Intends to Unveil Thirty New Vehicle Models Over the Course of Two Years, Revealed by TDS

In the rapidly evolving world of automotive manufacturing, Mercedes-Benz has announced a comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) expansion plan, set to roll out over the next few years. The German automaker aims to launch at least 15 new EV models by 2027, with many of these launches happening within the next two years.

The upcoming lineup covers entry, core, and premium segments, reflecting a broad push into electric mobility. For the next two years, Mercedes-Benz will launch a total of 30 vehicles, with 15 being electric.

The all-new CLA electric sedan and Shooting Brake, already available in Europe as of 2025, will lead the charge. Two new entry-level all-electric models, likely updated versions of the GLA and GLB crossovers, are expected in 2026. In the Core segment, a new electric GLC and an electric C-Class sedan, possibly including a wagon version, will also debut in 2026.

Premium electric vehicles are not left out of the equation. Updated versions of the EQS and EQE, along with their SUV counterparts, will be introduced in 2026. A luxurious electric van and a new flagship electric AMG supersedan inspired by the GT XX concept are also on the horizon for 2026 and 2027.

Mercedes-Benz is also updating the design language of its EVs to "sensual purity," starting with the 2027 GLC EV. The aim is to align the styling of electric models more closely with their gasoline counterparts for a more elegant and unified look.

In the U.S., production orders for some high-end EQ models will be paused after September 2025 due to market adjustments following federal EV tax credit changes, but these models will continue to be available globally.
