Actor Brad Pitt has sold his Hollywood Hills estate to fellow actor Austin Butler. The sale, finalized last Friday, marks the latest move in Pitt's real estate portfolio.
Pitt acquired the property two years ago in a star-studded estate swap with oil heiress Aileen Getty. The Hollywood Hills estate, which features a theater, fire pit, pool, and six bedrooms, boasts eight bathrooms.
Interestingly, the property was targeted by burglars three months prior to Pitt's purchase and again on June 25, 2023, when the burglars ransacked the property. However, Pitt was not home during either incident, and the details of the stolen items remain unknown.
Pitt's priority for the Hollywood Hills estate was optimal security and privacy, and the property has since been upgraded with enhanced security features.
Following the sale, Pitt's former Hollywood Hills estate is now in the hands of Butler, who purchased it for $5.2 million. No comment on the purchase was provided by a rep for either Pitt or Butler.
The Hollywood Hills estate was previously owned by Dave Keuning and Emilie Keuning before Pitt's purchase in September 2021. Pitt paid $12 million for the property, marking a significant investment in the Los Angeles real estate market.
