Krasnoyarsk Holds Public Hearings for Comprehensive Territorial Development Plan in Shahtevers District
Public hearings are underway in Krasnoyarsk to discuss the proposed plan for rezoning and redevelopment in the Comprehensive Territorial Development (KRT) area along Shahtevers Street. The urban development project involves the demolition of existing warehouses, commercial structures, and markets to make way for new residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a multi-level parking facility.

Initial project documents were criticized for failing to include commitments to build social infrastructure in the new, larger district.
Three companies were allowed to participate in the last auction in summer 2024: OOO “SZ Proekt-S-52” from St. Petersburg, which has ties to the large
- In light of the ongoing public hearings, citizens and stakeholders are expressing concerns about the possible impact of the Krasnoyarsk rezoning plan on the housing-market, potentially affecting real-estate investments in the area.
- As a follow-up from the public hearings, it remains to be seen if the proposed development plan along Shahtevers Street will incorporate provisions for financing social infrastructure, such as schools and hospitals, as well as addressing concerns related to the local housing-market and potential real-estate implications.
