Anticipated Rise of Pension and Benefits in Kazakhstan: Minister of Labor Delivers Update

Kazakhstan's Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Svetlana Zhakupova, has provided clarification regarding the anticipated increase in pensions and social benefits for the country's citizens.

In a recent interview, Zhakupova stated that the state is currently fulfilling all its obligations, and no additional increase is planned for the remainder of 2025. She explained that indexation, which resulted in increased payments, occurred at the beginning of the year, and this would be the only adjustment for this year.

When asked about the possibility of a future increase, Zhakupova confirmed that the next increase will take place in 2026.

Earlier reports have highlighted the average pension size of Kazakhs and recent changes to the order of pension payments for some Kazakhs.
