Yakutia's Energy Crisis: Debts Mount as Heating Season Looms
Energy companies in Yakutia are facing a mounting debt crisis as the heating season approaches. Municipal unitary enterprise 'TEC' in Aldan has amassed debts of 26 million rubles, while enterprises in the Neryungri district, such as LLC 'Energoрайон Chulman', LLC 'MPKK NR', LLC 'STEP', and LLC 'ITEC', also hold significant debts. Meanwhile, organizations in the housing and utilities sector have not hurried to settle their debts, with the state unitary enterprise of the sector being the largest debtor for consumed electricity, owing 272.9 million rubles.
Energy companies have warned that they may resort to court action if payment deadlines are violated and debtors ignore out-of-court settlement measures. As of the end of September, there are lawsuits against housing and utilities enterprises for electricity debts totaling 51.7 million rubles in enforcement proceedings, with 299.5 million rubles worth of enforcement orders pending. Despite this, enterprises in Yakutia's housing and utilities sector are systematically violating power supply contract terms, taking advantage of their 'irremovable' consumer status.
Through court actions, energy companies have managed to recover 142 million rubles from housing and utilities organizations since the beginning of the year. However, the total debt of these enterprises in Yakutia still amounts to 743 million rubles. The municipal unitary enterprise 'Zhataiteploсеть' alone has a debt of 20 million rubles. Specific company names in the Neryungri region with energy resource debts exceeding 17 million rubles are not publicly detailed, adding to the concern.
The growing debt crisis in Yakutia's energy sector is a cause for concern as the heating season approaches. Energy companies are taking legal action to recover debts, but the situation remains critical. Urgent action is needed to address this issue and ensure stable power supply for the region.
