Last week, the auto brands Nio, Onvo, and Firefly under Nio Inc witnessed a decrease of 19.77% in insurance registrations in China, with the figure dropping from 5,110 to 4,100 compared to the week before.

Record-Breaking Deliveries in China's Electric Vehicle Market

June saw a surge in electric vehicle (EV) deliveries in China, with several automakers reporting impressive figures.

Tesla's Success in China

Tesla continued its strong performance in China, with a 144.91% increase in insurance registrations last week compared to the previous week. The Model Y crossover and Model 3 sedan accounted for 9,410 and 2,850 insurance registrations, respectively. Tesla's factory in Shanghai also served as an export hub, producing and delivering the Model 3 and Model Y.

Nio's Record-Breaking Month

Nio Inc delivered 24,925 vehicles in June, marking a new high for this year and the second-highest on record. This represents a significant 138.65% increase from the 20,116 units delivered in the same period last year and a 6.52% increase from the 45,067 units delivered in May.

Li Auto's Steady Growth

Li Auto delivered 34,611 vehicles in June, marking eight consecutive months of deliveries exceeding 30,000 units. The company also reported an increase in insurance registrations last week.

Leapmotor's Record Deliveries

Leapmotor delivered 48,006 vehicles in June, marking the second consecutive month of record-high deliveries.

BYD's Leading Position

The BYD Group maintained its leading position in the market, selling 382,585 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in June, the highest figure so far this year.

Other Notable Developments

Aito, the brand co-developed by Huawei and Seres Group, reported 8,610 insurance registrations last week. On the other hand, the Zeekr brand saw a decrease in deliveries, with 43,012 vehicles delivered in June, a decrease of 7.58% from 46,538 in May.

The Launch of New Models

On June 26, our X (Twitter) profileiaomi officially launched the YU7, its first electric SUV. On July 6, deliveries of the YU7 began. Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio, began pre-sales of its flagship large SUV (sport utility vehicle) L90 on July 10.

Insurance Registrations for Other Brands

The number of insurance registrations for Nio Inc, combining the Nio, Onvo, and Firefly brands, increased by approximately 15% during the week of July 7 to 13, 2025. Lynk & Co's Deliveries

Lynk & Co delivered 26,310 vehicles in June, up 7.66% year-on-year but down 4.78% from May.

Zeekr's Decline in Deliveries

The Zeekr brand delivered 16,702 vehicles in June, a year-on-year decrease of 16.93% and a month-on-month decrease of 11.67%.

In conclusion, June was a month of record-breaking deliveries for several EV manufacturers in China, with Tesla, Nio, Li Auto, Leapmotor, and BYD leading the way.
