Veteran Manager Michael Scholz to Lead Iserlohn Station Bookstore Under New Ownership

Michael Scholz, a seasoned books manager, is set to continue leading the Iserlohn station books under the new ownership of Schmitt & Hahn. The store, which has been modernized and expanded over the years, will now offer a wider range of products to cater to diverse customer needs.

Scholz, who took over the railway books in 1988, brings a wealth of experience to the table. Born into a family of books store owners, he has spent his entire career in the industry. Initially operating from a smaller space, he moved into a larger, modernized store in the station building in 2008, doubling its size to 220 square meters.

The store, now under Schmitt & Hahn, will continue to carry a vast collection of books, with around 4,000 press titles and 5,000 book titles. However, it will also introduce trendy gift ideas, drinks, and small snacks, expanding its offerings to attract a broader range of customers. Schmitt & Hahn, pleased with Scholz's leadership, is eager to further expand its presence in railway stations and city centers.

The Iserlohn station books, under Michael Scholz's continued management, will now operate as part of Schmitt & Hahn. With its expanded product range and experienced leadership, the store is poised to serve its customers better, remaining open 365 days a year.
