VanadiumCorp's Revolutionary Extraction Tech Set to Transform Critical Metals Sector
VanadiumCorp Resource Inc., a Canadian critical metals exploration company, has made significant strides in its vanadium extraction technology and mineral resources. The company's Lac Doré deposit in Quebec is recognized as one of North America's premier undeveloped vanadium mineral resources, boasting exceptionally low impurity levels and outstanding metallurgical recoveries.
VanadiumCorp's proprietary VanadiumCorp Electrochem Process Technology (VEPTTM) has garnered international interest. The process involves digesting vanadiferous titanomagnetite and other feedstocks into concentrated sulfuric acid, minimizing energy consumption compared to conventional pyrometallurgical processes. The technology is now patented or allowed in five countries, including the U.S.A., South Africa, Australia, India, and Canada, with pending applications in Europe.
An Australian company, Australian Vanadium Limited, is actively engaged in testing the VEPTTM technology, exploring its potential applications. VanadiumCorp has constructed an initial electrolyte pilot plant in Val-des-Sources, Quebec, to evaluate the quality of extracted materials and initiate commercial-scale production of electrolytes for long-duration Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFBs).
In addition to Lac Doré, VanadiumCorp also owns the Iron-T property in Quebec, which shares similar geology with the Lac Doré Vanadium Project, distinguished by exceptionally low impurity levels and outstanding metallurgical recoveries. The company is advancing its proprietary VEPT technology to extract vanadium, titanium, and potentially high-grade iron from these deposits. Electrochem Technologies & Materials Inc. is a partner of VanadiumCorp, performing laboratory and prototype testing of the VEPTTM technology at its facilities in Boucherville, Quebec.
VanadiumCorp's innovative VEPTTM technology, backed by international patents and partnerships, is poised to revolutionize vanadium extraction. With exceptional mineral resources and supportive industry engagement, the company is well-positioned to contribute significantly to the critical metals sector.
