Nuvau Minerals Inc. (TSXV: NMC) has made noteworthy advancements at its Matagami Project in Québec, as reported in a recent news release. The company is conducting a gold-focused exploration program at the site, building upon previous base metal discoveries.

At the Caber Complex, 14 drill holes totalling 10,426 m were completed to upgrade resources prior to an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). High-grade base metal mineralization was found at Caber, with GCB-24-113 containing 5.49% Cu, 5.95% Zn, 0.15 g/t Au, and 35.66 g/t Ag over 2.8 m. Seven new intersections from 5,526 m of additional drill holes will be incorporated into the MRE that is currently in progress.

The McLeod Mine extension was intersected in 2023, demonstrating the potential for additional resources adjacent to existing mine workings. The extension discovery hole (MCL-13-31W1) returned 15.9 m grading 2.81% Cu, 14.80% Zn, and 0.39 g/t Au. The McLeod extension zone, along with the Caber Complex, will be incorporated into future studies assessing the potential restart of the Bracemac-McLeod Mine and associated economic analysis.

The Bracemac-McLeod mine, a past-producing base metal mine on Nuvau's land package, remains permitted for operation and has key infrastructure in place. The discovery of the Bracemac orogenic gold system was confirmed by drill hole BRCG-25-01, which intersected 8.87 g/t Au over 1.05 m. Visible gold was observed in three of four orientation holes completed to date at the Bracemac mine.

A revised MRE and updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) are in progress for the Caber Complex deposits, with the aim of optimizing the mine plan and incorporating the potential restart of the Bracemac-McLeod Mine and mill complex into a detailed economic analysis. Drill core samples are processed and analyzed by ALS Canada Ltd., an accredited, independent commercial analytical firm.
