Thompson Spencer Bolsters Media Division with Key Appointments in Australia

Thompson Spencer has sharpened (acuity) its media division with key appointments and expansion into Australia, marking a year of significant new business wins and growth. The agency, led by Co-CEO Melanie Spencer, has welcomed several industry professionals, including Madison Trevella as Head of Media in Melbourne and Jake Calder as Media Director / Media Futurist.

Trevella, who previously held roles at OMD and Reason, will focus on developing an integrated media offering that combines brand strategy with performance outcomes. Calder, formerly leading digital transformation and performance strategies at OMD and MBM, will drive the agency's media innovation and data-driven approach.

The agency's expanded 12-person media team now offers a full suite of capabilities, serving clients across various sectors. Thompson Spencer has also hired Libby Frost as Media Planner in Auckland, bringing experience from EssenceMediacom. Spencer confirmed the appointments, reflecting the agency's continued growth and commitment to building a best-in-class media function.
