The Monarch Witnesses Multiple Albums of Herself Climbing up the Charts Simultaneously

It wasn't long after Queen debuted their first album that they became chart-toppers in the UK, where they first gained fame. Since then, the band has maintained their massive popularity, with their albums and singles consistently selling well in the country. Some weeks are better for the band than others, with various factors influencing their success, and this current period seems to be particularly lucrative, particularly for their albums.

This week, three Queen albums are featured on the UK charts. All of them have seen an increase in their rankings from the previous week, with their most popular albums seeing a surge in five different charts. British fans can't seem to get enough of their hits, and it looks like holiday shopping has played a role in their ongoing success.

At the moment, Queen's Greatest Hits is their top-performing album, and it's climbed its way back onto the UK's main list of most-consumed full-lengths, rising from No. 41 to No. 33. For many other acts, this would be a significant accomplishment, but for Queen, it's just another day at the office.

The Greatest Hits compilation also sees improved rankings on four other charts. Queen's collection of their favorite singles jumps on the Official Albums Streaming chart (No. 26), the Official Album Downloads chart (No. 34), the Official Albums Sales chart (No. 56), and the Official Physical Albums chart (No. 63).

Queen also has a top-performing title on the Official Album Downloads chart. Another one of their compilations is making its way towards the top, climbing from No. 93 to No. 32.

And one more entry from the globally-adored band is also on the rise this week. The Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack, which accompanied the Freddie Mercury-focused biopic, makes its way into the top 20 on the Official Soundtrack Albums list. This collection, named after one of their most famous tracks, lifts from No. 34 to No. 19 on the chart.

It's not uncommon for bands like Queen to keep a greatest hits set on the charts, with streams of their most popular tunes alone usually proving enough to make one compilation a success. The fact that three such projects are currently on the charts and all climbing at once is a testament to the undying popularity of both the band and their many hits.

Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' soundtrack sales in the UK have also seen an uptick, moving from No. 34 to No. 19 on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart. The band's The Platinum Collection has continued to sell well, contributing to its impressive sales totals. The set, which includes hits like 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'We Will Rock You', has sold over 6 million copies in the UK alone. The Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack, featuring Queen's iconic song and songs from the biopic, has also been a significant part of the band's success on the charts, often appearing in the top positions.
