Streets Closed Indefinitely on L67
The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic has announced a road closure and detour on the L67, affecting traffic between Wietmarschen and Nordhorn. The construction works are scheduled to begin on August 4, 2025, and are expected to last approximately one year.
The L67 traffic from Nordhorn (L67) will be detoured via the streets "Grünlandweg", "Hertinsweg", and "Schwarzer Weg", in both directions. From Wietmarschen, the detour will continue via the L67 (Klausheider Straße) to the closure.
The construction works will involve the replacement of two bridge structures over the Lee and the Klausheider Graben, as well as the building of about 100 meters of new roadway. To save time and be independent of the weather, the replacement structures for the bridges will be prefabricated. Each of the 28 individual prefabricated parts for the two bridge structures is 2.30 meters by 4.60 meters in size and weighs over 25 tons.
During the full closure of the L67, a detour will be set up for motor vehicle traffic. The detour from the B213 in Nordhorn will lead via the K17 towards Hohenkörben onto the L45 towards Wietmarschen (Neuenhauser Straße). This detour route applies in the opposite direction as well.
The authority coordinating the road renewal on Landesstraße 67 between Wietmarschen and Nordhorn is the Niedersächsische Landesbehörde für Straßenbau und Verkehr (Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic). The construction works are intended to facilitate the necessary construction works on the L67 and are expected to be completed by June 2026.
The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic urges motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and to expect delays during the construction period.
