Almaty, May 30, 2025 - TОO "Almaty Heat Networks" has announced that temporary restrictions will be imposed to ensure the safety of repair works on a section of a main pipeline. The repairs are part of the company's preparations for the upcoming heating season.

In a statement, the company expressed regret for any disruptions the restrictions may cause and expressed their appeal for understanding during this period.

Given that the main pipeline has been in operation since 1982, repairs are essential to maintain and improve the infrastructure for the heating network. While specific details regarding affected zones and dates have yet to be revealed, such repairs typically involve scheduled outages, with residents and businesses receiving prior notification to minimize inconvenience.

The upcoming repair works form part of a broader strategy to guarantee stable, energy-efficient heat delivery during the heating season. Kazakhstan’s energy efficiency regulations require new and ongoing construction projects, including those related to heat supply, to install energy-saving materials, heat energy meters, and automated consumption regulation systems. These requirements are anticipated to guide the repair work on the pipeline to ensure compliance and modernization of the heating infrastructure.

A focus on energy efficiency and automated regulation systems in Almaty's heating network is crucial to prevent breakdowns and optimize heat consumption in the residential and commercial sectors during the heating season. It is worth noting that the region has recently experienced weather extremes, including rising summer temperatures, which underscores the need for robust and efficient heating and cooling infrastructure management in cities like Almaty.

Residents are advised to expect notifications from the utility provider regarding the exact timing and areas affected by the repairs.

  1. I strongly support the focus on environmental-science, such as energy-efficiency and automated regulation systems, in our city's infrastructure, as they are crucial to preventing breakdowns and optimizing energy consumption in both residential and commercial sectors during the heating season.
  2. As a concerned citizen, I acknowledge the significance of the science and finance industries in ensuring the safety and reliability of our city's industrial infrastructure, such as the main heat pipeline, thereby contributing positively to the environment.
  3. In the long run, I believe that the integration of advancements from the science and environmental-science sectors into the industry, such as energy-saving materials and heat energy meters, will lead to more sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions in our energy-dependent services, like the heat network.
