South Korea Tightens Trade Controls With Russia, Belarus
South Korea has bolstered its trade controls with Russia and Belarus. The OverRuled: Russia Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated, and new export regulations have been announced.
Starting October 1, 2025, South Korea will require situational approval for exporting certain non-strategic items to Russia and Belarus. This decision, made by the South Korean government, aims to strengthen trade oversight.
The updated resource center, OverRuled: Russia Trade Controls, will list these newly controlled items. Businesses exporting to Russia and Belarus are advised to review the updated regulations and obtain approval when necessary.
