Skyroot & Axiom Team Up for Orbital Launch, Life Support Systems

Skyroot Aerospace, India's leading private space launch service provider, has made headlines with its successful launches and strategic partnerships. The company, which became the first private entity in South Asia to send a rocket to space, is now preparing for its maiden orbital-class launch vehicle, Vikram-1. Meanwhile, Axiom Space, a key player in low-Earth orbit (LEO) exploration, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Skyroot to explore collaboration opportunities.

Skyroot's journey began with the successful launch of Vikram-S in 2022. The company is now gearing up for its next big step, the Vikram-1 rocket, which promises to be a game-changer in India's space exploration landscape.

Axiom Space, fresh from its Ax-4 mission launched on June 25, 2023, at 2:31 a.m. ET, is laying the groundwork for Axiom Station, positioning itself as a leader in LEO. The company's partnership with Skyroot aims to advance space exploration and serve the growing space ecosystem in India and globally. Together, they plan to develop life support systems for future space missions, with the first major milestone set for late 2024. Both companies are also exploring opportunities to collaborate on era-defining space infrastructure, including groundbreaking research payloads and orbital data center nodes.

The collaboration between Axiom Space and Skyroot Aerospace marks a significant step in India's space exploration journey. With Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) marking India's return to human spaceflight and its first mission on board the International Space Station, the future of India's space program looks promising. The partnership between these two innovative companies is set to drive advancements in space exploration and infrastructure, paving the way for a new era in space exploration.
