Services for buses and shuttles heading to Hammer Landstraße and Hansstraße will no longer be available as of Monday.

In the heart of Neuss, Germany, a significant construction project is underway on Hammer Landstraße, scheduled to last from January 8, 2023, to approximately the end of July 2024. This development necessitates traffic detours and bus route changes to accommodate the work.

  1. Traffic Detours: During the construction, Hammer Landstraße will have partial or full closures in the construction areas. Vehicles will be required to use alternative routes, such as Hafenstraße, Düsseldorfer Straße, and other local roads, to bypass the construction zone. Signage will be placed to guide drivers through the detour routes.
  2. Bus Route Changes: Bus lines that normally run along Hammer Landstraße will have altered routes or stops. Some bus stops on Hammer Landstraße may be temporarily closed or relocated. Passengers should check for updated schedules and rerouted lines, as buses might be diverted via Hafenstraße or other parallel streets. Temporary bus stops may be set up to maintain service coverage in the area.

For exact details, including which bus lines are affected and the specific alternative routes, the local transit authority (such as Stadtwerke Neuss or Rheinbahn) usually provides detailed maps, notices, and updated timetables during the construction period. Checking their official websites or local traffic information centers can give the most precise and timely updates.

Access to and from the Industriestraße and the Hansastraße will always be guaranteed via the respective detours. In the direction of the Rheinpark-Center, buses on line 842 will run via Zoll-, Oberstraße, Stresemannallee, and Langemarckstraße. From 8th January, bus line 842 will take a detour between the "Zolltor" and "DEHOGA-Center" stops.

Line 842 will serve all stops (including those of other lines) on the detour route, such as "Landestheater, Bussteig 1". The "Industriestraße" and "Hansastraße" stops cannot be served by line 842 due to the detour. Further information about the bus detours can be found at www.stadtwerke-neuss.de.

The "DEHOGA-Center", "Hansastraße", and "Landestheater, Bussteig 6" stops will not be served by line 842. Line 842 will serve all stops (including those of other lines) on the detour route, such as "Landestheater, Bussteig 4" and "Stadthalle/Museum".

In both directions, line 842 will serve all stops (including those of other lines) on the detour route, such as "Landestheater, Bussteig 4" and "Stadthalle/Museum". After the work is completed, the area between the railway tracks and the Hammer Landstraße will be reopened for one lane of traffic from around 20th January.

From the western direction (B1), the detour will be set up via Stresemannallee/Hammfelddamm, Europadamm, Hessentordamm. The Industriestraße can only be reached from the direction of Batteriestraße/Hessentordamm from 8th January.

A temporary above-ground sewer connection and a pumping station will be created in the area of the Hansastraße, between the railway tracks and the entrance to the Hammer Landstraße. In the direction of the Lukaskrankenhaus, buses on line 842 will run via Langemarckstraße, Stresemannallee, Ober-, Zoll-, and Promenadenstraße.

The city of Neuss' construction radar provides further information about the road closures and detours. The Hansastraße will continue to be accessible only via the Danziger Straße until approximately the end of July. The Hammer Landstraße will be closed to through traffic from 8th January until approximately the end of July 2024, between Industriestraße and the Timmermanns car dealership parking lot. Rheintor- and Batteriestraße will be opened for truck traffic from the northern direction (A52) during the construction.

The Hansastraße will also be closed to through traffic from 8th January for approximately two weeks until around 19th January in the area between the railway tracks and the entrance to the Hammer Landstraße. During the closure of the Hansastraße, it can be accessed via the detour Danziger Straße. An alternative stop will be set up for the DEHOGA-Center.

  1. Finance Industry players in Neuss might encounter challenges due to the road detours and bus route changes surrounding the construction project on Hammer Landstraße. The closures and diversions could potentially affect logistics and transportation for goods and services.
  2. Despite the construction work on Hammer Landstraße, passengers in the transportation sector, such as bus drivers and those using public transportation, can still access some areas via alternative routes. They are advised to check for updated schedules and routes on the official websites of the local transit authorities, like Stadtwerke Neuss or Rheinbahn, for accurate information during the construction period.
