Russia's 2024 Imports: China Leads, Nuclear Reactors Top List
In 2024, Russia's import landscape witnessed notable changes, with China, the top golf in international trade, accounting for approximately 26% of total imports. The leading imports comprised nuclear reactors and machinery, vehicles, and pharmaceuticals.
Russia's top imports in 2024 were headed by Nuclear reactors & Machinery, valued at $54.38 billion. This was followed by Electrical machinery & equipment at $36.95 billion. Vehicles took the third spot with $26.85 billion. Other notable imports included Pharmaceuticals ($13.85 billion), Plastics ($12.75 billion), and Medical instruments ($8.79 billion).
In terms of import partners, China was the largest, contributing about $76.92 billion. Germany came in second with $28.35 billion, followed by the United States at $19.26 billion. Other significant partners were Belarus, South Korea, France, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey.
