Obstacles on the Route Due to Traffic Conditions

On September 13, 2025, Gereuth Street in Bamberg will be closed to traffic between Elster Way and Korn Street from 8 AM to 10 PM for the annual Gereuth Street Festival. The Bürgerverein Gereuth (Gereuth Citizens' Association) is the organiser of the event, which has previously hosted successful festivals, such as their 50th anniversary event featuring Norbert Tscherner.

During the festival, no traffic will be possible through Gereuth Street between Elster Way and Korn Street. Motorists heading into town via Korn Street are advised to follow the detour, while those heading out of town via Elster Way can also expect some delays.

The street festival will also affect Bamberg City Works bus lines 905 and 936. The temporary stops for these bus lines will not be located on Gereuth Street but on Forchheimer Street instead. As a result, the detour for bus lines 905 and 936 will affect traffic on Forchheimer Street.

The detour for bus lines 905 and 936 is a result of the street festival on Gereuth Street. Line 936 will run the detour until 2 AM on September 14, 2025. Delays are possible on line 905 due to the detour. Regular stops at 'Elster Way' and 'Korn Street' will not be served during the festival.

Through traffic on Gereuth Street between Elster Way and Korn Street will not be possible on September 13, 2025. The detour for traffic heading into town via Korn Street is available, and a detour for traffic heading out of town via Elster Way is also in place. The festival will last for 14 hours on September 13, 2025.

The organiser, Bürgerverein Gereuth, has a history of organising successful events in the area, including their 50th anniversary street festival featuring Norbert Tscherner. The festival on Gereuth Street on September 13, 2025, is set to be another exciting event for the community.
