New Waste Collection Center Breaks Ground in July for Ergoldsbach and Neufahrn
Construction of a new waste collection center, a first for the region, is set to begin in mid-July. The center, covering 2,400 m2, aims to address the inadequacies of the current facilities in Ergoldsbach and Neufahrn. It is expected to be operational by the end of November or early December, at a total cost of approximately one million euros.
The new center will be built on a plot of land along the St 2615 (formerly B15), near the roundabout in Ergoldsbach. To minimize disruptions during construction, efforts will be made to keep the passing St 2615 clear. The center will have a spacious access road from St 2615/B15 and a left-turn lane from Neufahrn, ensuring safe and efficient access.
The company managing the construction of the joint waste disposal center is Ingenieurbüro Riedl GmbH. Once operational, the new center will have extended operating hours and will not replace the existing glass containers in both communities.
The new waste collection center, a joint venture for Ergoldsbach and Neufahrn, will address the current demands and dangerous traffic situations at the existing centers. With its expected completion by the end of November or early December, it promises improved waste management news for the region.
