Napoleonsberg's Big Changes: New Water Line, Bus Stop Renewal, and River Wall Work
Napoleonsberg is set for significant changes with upcoming construction projects. The Kornelimünster bus stop and surrounding infrastructure will be renewed, while a new water transport line and river wall renovation are planned. An information evening on October 9, 2025, will detail these changes.
Regionetz will install a shutoff valve at the Steinkaulplatz by the end of October 2025, paving the way for the new water transport line at Napoleonsberg. This line's construction will begin in June 2026, following the historical fair. Once complete, the Inde river wall will undergo renovation.
The Kornelimünster bus stop heading out of town, along with sidewalks and the roadway, will be renewed. Subsequently, the bus stops at Napoleonsberg in both directions will be rebuilt. The city traffic planning and road construction authorities will handle the redesign and implementation of traffic regulations at the Steinkaulplatz intersection after these renovations.
These construction works will overlap, potentially causing significant traffic restrictions at Napoleonsberg. An information evening on October 9, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Inda-Gymnasium, Kornelimünster, will provide details about the planned work and future traffic regulations.
