Metrolinx Introduces New GO Transit Options for the Upcoming School Year
In preparation for the new academic term, Metrolinx has announced a series of changes to its GO Transit services. These updates, effective from Tuesday, September 2nd, aim to better reflect actual travel times and offer new options for commuters.
One of the most significant changes is the reinstatement of GO Bus service to post-secondary schools, starting on Saturday, August 30th. This service will include a new additional express trip, Route 15A - McMaster / Burlington, as part of the service to post-secondary schools.
The schools served by this reinstated GO-Bus service include École secondaire catholique Bois--de-Boulogne, École secondaire publique Louis-Riel, and Vista Heights Public School.
In addition to these changes, Metrolinx is also making adjustments to departure times on some lines, specifically the Lakeshore West line. Some trains will depart earlier, while others will depart later, to ensure a smoother and more efficient service.
Metrolinx encourages its customers to check the schedules before traveling to ensure they are aware of these changes. The changes are part of service updates related to the start of the school year.
However, it's not all changes. The seasonal GO Bus service to Canada's Wonderland, Toronto Zoo, and route 17B (University of Waterloo/Burlington GO) will end on Sunday, August 24th.
