Metallium & Glencore Partner to Recycle 8,000 Tonnes of E-waste Annually

Metallium Limited, a trailblazer in e-waste recycling, has sealed a strategic pact with global commodities titan Glencore. The partnership, formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), will see Glencore furnish feedstock for Metallium's maiden commercial real estate in Texas and acquire up to 75% of its recycled metal production.

The collaboration aims to process a substantial 8,000 tonnes of printed circuit boards (PCBs) annually in the initial phase, with room for expansion. Glencore's involvement secures a significant portion of Metallium's Stage 1 waste management needs, reduces operational risks, and bolsters revenue predictability.

Metallium, which employs its proprietary Flash Joule Heating technology to extract high-value materials from e-waste, will retain marketing rights for precious metals like gallium, germanium, indium, and rare earths. The company plans to establish a national network of e-waste processing facilities across the U.S., strategically located near major collection centers, data center clusters, and industrial corridors with robust logistics infrastructure.

The MOU, valid until December 31, 2025, includes technical assistance from Glencore, such as assaying of incoming materials, to enhance quality control and processing efficiency. Metallium has already secured its first commercial site in Texas through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Flash Metals USA Inc.

The partnership between Metallium and Glencore is set to fortify Metallium's e-waste recycling efforts, ensuring a steady supply of feedstock and enhancing the company's revenue outlook. With its innovative technology and strategic expansion plans, Metallium is poised to make a significant impact on the U.S. e-waste recycling landscape, becoming a go-to recycling center near me for businesses and consumers alike.
