Local Council Completes Major Road Repairs, 1.7M Euros Spent
The local council has allocated around 1.7 million euros for road repairs this year. The works, costing approximately 800,000 euros, include significant improvements to several streets and bridges.
So far, the Alte Straße, Tulpen- & Nelkenstraße, Netzerstraße, and Hagenauer Straße have been renovated. Deck constructions have been completed in the König-Schalinski-Straße and Untere Schneckenbergstraße. During the summer holidays, repairs were carried out in the Stelzhammer Straße and Schärdinger Straße. The Pionierstraße at the Scheuereckerbach valley bridge is set to be finished on Thursday, 02.10.2025 around 16:00 hours.
The repair works involved installation of new, double-profile transition structures, renewal of sidewalk caps coating, corrosion protection for the railing, repair of longitudinal water drainage, concrete repair work on the abutment chambers, renewal of bird protection, and application of a new asphalt surface layer up to the intersection with Messestraße.
With the completion of the Pionierstraße bridge, all planned road repair works for this year are nearing conclusion. The council has spent around 800,000 euros on these improvements, with the road set to reopen to traffic after each full closure is lifted. Still planned for this year are the renovation of the road surface of the Alte Straße and the deck construction in the Halser Straße.
