John Lennon's Music Resurges on Charts Due to a Joint Project with His Spouse

The later part of John Lennon's solo musical journey was characterized by numerous high-profile collaborations with his wife, Yoko Ono. The duo continued to work together frequently until Lennon's demise in 1980. Since then, Ono has maintained a strong connection to Lennon's enduring legacy.

This week, Lennon graces the Billboard charts with a successful album and one of his most renowned solo hits. Ono contributes to the smash hit, significantly boosting the overall impact of the album it's included on.

"Happy XMas (War Is Over)" ascends on three Billboard charts this week, alongside numerous holiday tracks, perhaps a hundred to two hundred more. Although led by Lennon, the song also acknowledges the contributions of Ono, as well as The Plastic Ono Band and The Harlem Community Choir.

For a considerable period, "Happy XMas (War Is Over)" was one of Lennon's most successful solo singles, existing independently of any album. The song was later added to the tracklist of Gimme Some Truth. (2020), which experienced a significant boost as a result.
