Introducing the Ram ProMaster Electric Vehicle, a new electrified offering from Ram.
The Ram Truck brand has stepped into the electric commercial van market with the introduction of their first fully electrified vehicle, the 2024 Ram ProMaster EV.
This new addition to Ram's lineup offers a range of mission-specific configurations, including a delivery model and two cargo models. The cargo models will be available in two configurations: a 12-foot cargo length and an extended 13-foot cargo length.
The Ram ProMaster EV is designed with practicality in mind, featuring a rear roll-up door for easy cargo loading and unloading. For added convenience, the delivery model comes equipped with a pocket door for easy ingress and egress while making deliveries.
Safety and security are paramount in the Ram ProMaster EV. It includes more standard safety and security features than any previous Ram full-size commercial van, such as Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning, Crosswind Assist, rear backup camera with dynamic gridlines, post-collision braking, Drowsiness Detection, traffic sign information, auto high-beams, cornering function fog lamps, push-button starter, keyless entry (all doors), and an electric parking brake.
The ProMaster EV also offers fleet-friendly technology such as Ram Telematics, enabling vehicle location, driving insights, and real-time vehicle diagnostics. It also features a unibody design that incorporates the battery pack efficiently, with the battery positioned under the floor in the center of the vehicle, maintaining a flat floor while cargo volume is unchanged from ICE vehicles.
In terms of technology, the Ram ProMaster EV offers advanced features such as the Uconnect 5 system, which includes a 10.1-inch reconfigurable touchscreen display, split-screen capability, five user profiles, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa In-Vehicle Assistant, Simultaneous wireless connectivity for two Bluetooth-enabled phones or devices, Over-the-air (OTA) map updates at the push of a button for Uconnect NAV system, and enhanced functionality for front-row passengers with an available wireless charging pad and connectivity ports.
The Ram ProMaster EV delivery model also offers features like front and rear Park Sense with full stop, a white noise backup alarm, and a "normal" backup alarm, ensuring safety during parking maneuvers.
The ProMaster EV boasts a best-in-class cargo width of 75.6 inches, offering ample space for cargo. It also features the most vertically oriented sidewalls in the cargo van category, with nearly 90 degrees in relation to the cargo compartment floor.
When it comes to range, the new Ram ProMaster EV has a targeted range of up to 162 miles in city driving. It also offers Charging Station Locator and EV Dynamic Trip Prediction features to help drivers find charging stations and plan their trips more efficiently.
The Ram ProMaster EV's exterior features standard LED headlights and fog lights with improved durability, offering 70% more Lumens (50% more range) versus the previous-generation gas-powered Ram ProMaster.
