Indian Army Concludes 2025 ACC, Focuses on Operational Readiness and Soldier Welfare
The Indian Army has concluded its second Army Commanders' Conference (ACC) of 2025, with a focus on operational preparedness, structural reforms, and personnel welfare. This pivotal forum, held independently by each of the three armed forces, culminates in the biennial Combined Commanders' Conference (CCC).
The ACC, an institutional mechanism for top-level military dialogue and decision-making, saw the senior-most leadership of the Indian Army brainstorm on conceptual issues and finalise key policy decisions. This year's conference, held from an unspecified date in 2025, gave special attention to personnel-centric issues, including the quality of life and welfare of soldiers and their families.
The forum served as a platform to review the current security landscape and align priorities for the future. Discussions covered steps to enhance jointness among the services, ensure rapid response to emerging threats, and optimise resources for maximum combat efficiency. The conference focused on enhancing organisational resilience, improving field-level operational effectiveness, and streamlining ongoing structural reforms, including preparations for Integrated Theatre Commands (ITCs). This was the second ACC held this year, following the first from April 1-4.
The ACC concluded with a focus on operational preparedness, structural reforms, and personnel welfare. The next Combined Commanders' Conference is scheduled for September 15 to 17 this year, where the three armed forces will meet to discuss and align their strategies further.
