Implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Standards in Building and Urban Planning
On September 9, 2025, an immersive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) workshop will be held at the CIDB Convention Centre in Kuching, Sarawak. The one-day event, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, aims to support professionals in the construction and property sectors by equipping them with knowledge and strategies to integrate ESG considerations into their projects[1].
The workshop, costing RM 1,800 per participant, is designed to help attendees win tenders and attract investments by focusing on sustainable construction practices and ESG principles[2]. Participants can learn to embed sustainability into their daily project operations, proactively identifying environmental and social risks to avoid costly delays, penalties, and redesigns[3].
The CIDB Convention Centre, a recognised venue for industry events in Kuching, Sarawak, often hosts construction-related symposiums and workshops[1][2]. By attending the workshop, participants can earn CCD points from CIDB.
ESG can transform risk into competitive advantage, enhance project value, and help secure stakeholder trust, funding, and compliance[3]. The workshop will cover creating governance systems and transparent reporting that regulators, investors, and communities expect. Global ESG frameworks and relevant certifications will also be navigated during the workshop.

It is also suitable for leaders aiming to future-proof their projects and organisations, as well as teams responsible for ESG integration, certifications, and stakeholder engagement.
