Historic Nizhny Novgorod Building to Become Boutique Hotel by October 2025
A historic building in Nizhny Novgorod, the A.N. Muravyov house on Sergievskaya Street, is set to become a boutique hotel. An investor purchased the property at an auction in December 2023, with a restoration condition that must be met within seven years. The building, a regional architectural monument, is currently undergoing renovations.
The main construction work is nearing completion. The foundation has been strengthened, and the walls and roof have been restored. All communications have been connected, and the thermal envelope is being closed with the installation of doors and windows. However, the issue of electricity supply has been a challenge.
Initially, 'Nizhnovenergo' MRSK Center and Volga Region was to connect the building by January 2025. But due to repeated delays, Deputy Governor Egor Polyakov stepped in. He announced that 'Nizhnovenergo' has committed to connecting the object by October 31, 2025, a full seven months earlier than the latest notification of May 2026.
The A.N. Muravyov house is on track to become a boutique hotel, with the main construction work completed and the thermal envelope being closed. The electricity supply issue, which had been a hurdle, now has a firm deadline of October 31, 2025, thanks to the intervention of Deputy Governor Egor Polyakov. Light is expected to be restored in the building by the end of October.
