Traffic Woes on Crimean Bridge and Kerch Strait

On Thursday, a queue for manual inspection to cross the Kerch Strait bridge from Kerch started forming in the morning, with 156 vehicles waiting as early as 8:00 AM. By 9:00, the number of vehicles in the traffic jam had reached 305.

As the day progressed, the traffic situation worsened. By 11:00, the number of vehicles in the traffic jam had grown to 548. Between 13:00 and 14:00, the traffic jam in Kerch increased by 53 vehicles, and by 15:00, it had grown to 664 vehicles. At the same time, the number of vehicles waiting to cross the Kerch Strait bridge from Kerch had increased to 1,400.

During the day, there were no queues on the Kuban side, and there was no queue in Taman at 8:00 AM and 14:00. However, there is no information provided about the number of vehicles waiting to cross the Kerch Strait bridge between 11:00 and 13:00, as well as after 15:00.

By 15:00, the waiting time to cross the Kerch Strait bridge had exceeded three hours. The internet portal "Kuban 24" reported the traffic situation on the Crimean Bridge on September 18.

Analysts have named the best time to cross the Crimean Bridge in September based on last year's data, but no specific time was provided in the current situation.
