JPMorgan Taps HSBC M&A Head, Kamal Jabre, as Vice Chair
In a significant move amidst a transformative period at HSBC, global banking powerhouse JPMorgan Chase & Co. has announced the hiring of former HSBC Holdings executive, Kamal Jabre. Jabre, a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience, will assume the role of Vice Chairman of Mergers and Acquisitions at JPMorgan, where he will spearhead efforts to bolster the bank's presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Jabre brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having previously spent over two decades at Morgan Stanley, where he held several key posts, such as Head of European Financial Sponsors and Deputy Head of Investment Banking for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He also served as CEO for Morgan Stanley's Middle East and North Africa operations prior to his tenure at HSBC.
His appointment comes as JPMorgan looks to strengthen its footing in the EMEA region and capitalize on its existing network and expertise. The bank is poised to benefit from Jabre's deep understanding of the financial sector, extensive global connections, and proven track record in strategic business growth.
