Enforced Lockdown on Bonn Street

The city of Hürth has announced that construction work on Bonnstraße in Hürth-Hermülheim will take place from April 14 to approximately May 9, 2025. Due to this closure, certain changes will be made to the routes of bus lines 711 and 720.

During the closure period, bus line 711 will follow a detour due to the full closure of Hermuëlheimer Straße from the "De Bütt" stop. Passengers of the "Deutscher Ring" stop can use the regular "De Bütt" stop on bus line 711, while those of the "Ernst-Mach-Gymnasium" stop can use the regular "Hüth Mitte (ZOB)" stop instead. Passengers of the "Kirchenzentrum" stop can board and alight at the regular "Hüth Mitte (ZOB)" or "De Bütt" stops on bus line 711.

Bus line 711 will circulate in the Sudetenstraße/Bonnstraße roundabout when coming from Hüth Mitte (ZOB). The rerouting for bus line 711 will be via Theresienhöhe, Frechener Straße, and Sudetenstraße in both directions.

For passengers of bus line 720, the closure of Bonnstraße does not affect the normal route from "Komturring" stop when coming from Hüth Mitte (ZOB). However, passengers of the "Kirchenzentrum" stop can use the regular "De Bütt" or "Komturring" stops on bus line 720 during this period. The rerouting for bus line 720 will resume its normal route from the "Komturring" stop when coming from Hüth Mitte (ZOB).

Unfortunately, the "Rathaus/Bürgerhaus", "Ernst-Mach-Gymnasium", "Kirchenzentrum", and "Deutscher Ring" stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the regular "Hüth Mitte (ZOB)" stop instead.

The closure of Bonnstraße is for construction work and road repair, including bollard system repair and road surface renewal at the height of Hohlweg.

We advise passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and check the latest updates on the city's website or with the local transport authority for the most accurate information.
