Revamped Trends: Top 5 In-Demand Jobs in Tomsk Region for Q1 2025

Tomsk, May 2 - RIA Tomsk, Oksana Skorlygina. Here's the lowdown on the hottest jobs in the Tomsk region as of Q1 2025, based on data from employment platform HeadHunter, as reported by a spokesperson for HeadHunter Siberia:

Retail Salespersons, Sales Consultants, Cashiers, and Delivery Workers took the top spots in the most sought-after jobs, with median salaries up by 20% compared to Q1 2024, reaching approximately 45,700 rubles per month — that's a 7,600 ruble increase.

Delivery workers experienced the most growth, with a whopping 34% salary hike, resulting in median wages of around 151,600 rubles per month, which translates to an additional 38,800 rubles compared to last year.

Managers handling sales and customer service, regular drivers, medical professionals, and engineers also saw significant increases in median salaries, with sales and customer service managers, drivers, and medical professionals seeing a 18% increase, and engineers a 14% increase.

Interestingly, the spokesperson mentioned that the shift in sales-related job positions from the top 5 could be attributed to a labor shortage in the retail sector and the redistribution of employees to other sectors offering more competitive salaries and flexible schedules. The rise in demand for delivery workers can be explained by the growth of delivery services.

According to the spokesperson, the following professionals are also in high demand in the Tomsk region (though not ranking in the top 5): chefs, bakers, confectioners, mechanics, accountants, electricians, engineers (design and project management), laborers, office administrators, plumbers, nurses, nursing assistants, call center operators, software developers, cleaners, packers, technicians, welder, warehouse workers, waitstaff, and teachers.

This list reflects a relatively stable demand structure, with most positions remaining relevant. However, sales-related professionals took a step back this year in favor of retail sales positions, and delivery workers, once less in demand, have now joined the ranks of Tomsk's top job seekers.

In the shifted job market of Tomsk, specific professions saw growth and a rise in demand, even if they didn't rank among the top 5. For instance, financial professionals, such as accountants, showed strength in 2022, with potential increases in median salaries. Moreover, by 2025, it's expected that, unlike four years ago, engineers (particularly in design and project management) and laborers will have grown significantly in the business and finance sectors, possibly rivaling the appeal of retail and delivery jobs.

In the closing quarter of 2025, sales workers, delivery personnel, sales managers, medical professionals, and drivers are among the top-5 sought-after specialists in Tomsk region; compared to the previous year, proposed salaries for sales workers increased by 20%, and delivery personnel saw a 34% increase, according to our site's press representative for Siberia from HeadHunter.
