Emergency A27 Repairs Begin, Minimal Disruptions Expected
Emergency repairs on the A27 between Bremen and Bremerhaven have begun today, with a construction pit being set up for the replacement of the damaged steel pipe. Traffic is being rerouted via detours. The project aims to be completed by the end of March.
So far, the closure and detours have caused no major disruptions. Once the emergency repair is ready, only partial closures are expected during the subsequent rebuilding of the damaged tunnel pipe. The steel pipe will be replaced with a glass fiber pipe during the emergency repair. A makeshift construction will ensure the motorway remains partially passable until the work is finished.
