El Paso Welcomes New 50,000sq.ft Logistics Hub for Mexico Nearshoring
El Paso, Texas, has welcomed a new 50,000sq.ft (4,645sq.m) logistics facility, designed to cater to the growing nearshoring activity in Mexico. Situated fewer than five miles from the US-Mexico border and close to the airport, it offers convenient interstate access.
The facility, built by El Paso Electric, provides a range of services to support supply chain operations. It offers cross-dock services for efficient cargo handling, storage solutions, and round-the-clock yard operations. With space for 350 trailers and comprehensive CCTV coverage, it ensures security and visibility.
Located near the Ysleta Port of Entry, a major trade corridor for northbound goods from Mexico, the facility's strategic position was praised by Frank Bateman, vice-president of supply chain operations at Ryder. He highlighted its placement along a popular truck stopping point, facilitating both north-south and east-west traffic.
The new El Paso facility, with its comprehensive services and strategic location, is set to boost logistics efficiency and support the growth of nearshoring activity in Mexico. Its proximity to the border, airport, and major trade routes ensures smooth operations and connectivity.
