EcoGraf Boosts Management Team for Epanko Graphite Project Expansion
EcoGraf Limited (ASX: EGR) has revealed significant management changes and key appointments as it gears up for the next phase of its Epanko Graphite Project in Tanzania. The company has also made strides in its financing efforts.
Maria Du Plooy has been promoted to General Manager - Finance and Joint Company Secretary. Meanwhile, Michael Bourguignon, who brings extensive African mining development experience, including the construction and commissioning of the Balama Graphite Project in Mozambique, has joined as Head of Projects for Tanzania.
David Drabble, currently Chief Geologist, will assume senior site responsibilities at Epanko. EcoGraf's proprietary HFfree® purification technology has achieved 99.95% carbon purity without using hydrofluoric acid, reducing environmental impacts and enabling battery loans recycling.
EcoGraf has engaged Hannam & Partners to advise on its debt financing program and is in the process of appointing strategic equity advisors to assist with potential strategic partnerships. The company is nearing completion of the Independent Engineer's Report for its debt financing program, a key milestone in securing a senior secured battery facility of up to US$105 million from KfW IPEX-Bank. EcoGraf has invested over US$30 million in developing a vertically integrated battery anode materials business, including the Epanko Graphite Mine, a Mechanical Shaping Facility, EcoGraf HFfree® Purification Facilities, and proprietary HFfree® purification technology.
Regrettably, CFO Howard Rae has resigned due to health concerns but will continue supporting the Epanko debt financing program in a consulting capacity.
EcoGraf's strategic appointments and advancements in purification technology position the company well for the next phase of its Epanko Graphite Project. With ongoing support from Hannam & Partners and the potential for a significant battery facility, EcoGraf continues to strengthen its position in the battery anode materials market.
