Dubai's WETEX 2025 to Showcase Green Innovations, Attracts Major Sponsors
Dubai is set to host the 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from 30 September to 2 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event, organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), aims to serve as a global platform for partnerships and innovation in sustainability and the green economy.
WETEX 2025 is expected to attract major sponsors such as Masdar, TAQA, ENOC, Siemens Energy, ACWA Power, and Hitachi Energy. While specific exhibitors for 2025 are not yet confirmed, past events have featured a diverse range of companies from the water, energy, and environment technology sectors.
Key highlights of WETEX include the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and the Green Hydrogen project by DEWA. Participants will showcase innovative solutions in solar, wind, storage, desalination, and digital energy technologies. The UAE aims to have clean energy make up 36 percent of its energy mix by 2030.
International pavilions will represent France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, and Canada. Notable demonstrations include Sigma Energy's wave energy devices and innovations from firms such as Ecolibri and Derun Energy.
WETEX is organised under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, sees the exhibition as a means to reinforce international cooperation in sustainability and support the UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy and National Hydrogen Strategy 2050.
