Domaine Clarence Dillon Expands with Château Grand-Pontet Acquisition

Domaine Clarence Dillon has expanded its wine portfolio with the acquisition of Château Grand-Pontet, now integrated into its Château Quintus estate. The deal brings new opportunities for Quintus' winemaking team and solidifies its position in Saint-Émilion.

Château Grand-Pontet, nestled near Saint-Émilion, boasts diverse slopes and limestone soils perfect for Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Surrounded by premier grand cru classé estates, it joins Quintus to form a 45-hectare vineyard, with 42 hectares under cultivation.

Mariette Veyssière, the fifth generation of the Veyssière family, has been appointed to manage Château Quintus. Prince Robert de Luxembourg, chairman & CEO of Domaine Clarence Dillon, envisions creating one of Saint-Émilion's finest wines with Quintus, building on its 10-year history.

The acquisition of Château Grand-Pontet by Domaine Clarence Dillon's Château Quintus estate offers greater winemaking possibilities and strengthens Quintus' standing in Saint-Émilion. With a dedicated manager and ambitious plans, Quintus looks set to produce exceptional wines from its diverse terroir.
