Delivery of Seven Fresh Vehicles for the Fire Department in Dormagen
New Fire Vehicles Arrive in Dormagen
Dormagen, Germany - A series of new vehicles have been stationed at the main fire station on Kieler Street, marking a significant investment in the safety of the city's residents. The new fleet, which includes three vehicles tailored to the specific needs of their respective locations, amounts to around 2.1 million euros.
On September 23rd, Pastors Ulrich Eßer and Frank Picht blessed seven new fire engines of the Dormagen Fire Department. Among the new vehicles at the main fire station is a command vehicle with modern radio systems, computer technology, and an extendable light mast. Two more transport vehicles have been acquired for the locations of Hackenbroich and Stürzelberg.
In the city's district of Gohr, a new universal rescue fire engine worth around 560,000 euros is being put into service. This vehicle can accommodate up to nine crew members and is equipped to handle a variety of emergencies. Another new vehicle is an ambulance equipped with a modern stretcher, comprehensive medical equipment, and the ability to communicate directly with a telemedicine doctor.
The large tank fire engine designed for fighting large fires is also stationed at the main fire station. In Delhoven, a special transport vehicle with additional equipment will be stationed. This vehicle is equipped with a modern drone for reconnaissance, a worktable for image analysis, and a rear monitor for displaying aerial images.
Mayor Erik Lierenfeld stated that these new vehicles ensure the fire department's readiness for future scenarios. Bernd Eckhardt, Fire Chief, added that these vehicles are a valuable support for the firefighters and significantly enhance the power of the fire department.
