Canva Philippines introduces storefront templates and partnerships in preparation for the 9.9 event.

Canva, the popular graphic design platform, has announced a new partnership with Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines.

As part of the partnership, Canva will provide 4,000 exclusive one-month Canva Pro trial codes to eligible Shopee sellers. Following the trial period, these sellers will also be offered a 50% discount for up to three months.

The first online sale event these templates will be available for is 9.9, Shopee's annual double-digit sale event. Canva's initiatives aim to help SMEs showcase their bestsellers, announce limited offers, and stand out in busy feeds.

Maisie Littaua, Country Lead for the Philippines at Canva, emphasized that Canva is not just a design platform, but a partner that makes everyday business easier for SMEs. "We're excited to collaborate with Shopee to help Filipino SMEs boost sales and grow their business," she said.

In addition to the Shopee partnership, Canva has also announced new initiatives to help SMEs strengthen their digital presence. These programs aim to equip MSMEs and creatives with tools and skills to thrive in a digital, global marketplace.

Canva's initiatives with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the Philippines include nationwide workshops, caravans, and the DTI Malikhaing Filipino event. The purpose of these initiatives is to empower entrepreneurs to compete with big brands online.

Moreover, Canva has launched a dedicated Shopee Creator Page with tailored templates and design resources. Starting October, Canva will be part of the Shopee University curriculum, training sellers on practical design and marketing skills.

Shopee Head of Commercial, Jack Ng, stated that the partnership aims to help sellers market their products effectively and upskill them for long-term business growth. "We believe that these initiatives will help our sellers create compelling storefronts and promotional materials, ultimately driving sales and growth for their businesses," he said.

Canva's templates are designed to create professional, polished visuals quickly. This partnership is expected to benefit thousands of Shopee sellers in the Philippines, providing them with the resources they need to succeed in the competitive e-commerce landscape.

In conclusion, Canva's partnership with Shopee and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the Philippines marks a significant step forward in supporting the country's creative economy and helping SMEs scale, compete, and grow their impact on families, communities, and the economy.
