Business giant Salesforce intends to purchase AI company Regrello, aiming to enhance automation capabilities.
After a successful period of private ownership, Informatica 1 went public again in 2021. Now, the tech world is abuzz with another major announcement: Salesforce, a leading CRM platform, is set to acquire Regrello, a company specialising in AI-driven solutions that streamline complex business processes.
Regrello's technology 2 converts business data into dynamic, agentic workflows, aiming to automate manual and inefficient tasks for clients. According to the deal 3, the acquisition is expected to close by the third fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to standard closing conditions.
Upon the acquisition, Salesforce plans to integrate Regrello's offerings with Agentforce 4 and Slack 5, enhancing its ability to provide seamless, AI-driven process automation to more organisations. Regrello's CEO, Aman Neimat, stated that the acquisition will bring agentic process automation to more organisations, further cementing Salesforce's position as a leader in AI-driven solutions.
In addition to Regrello, Salesforce has also announced its acquisition of Bluebirds, a leading AI-powered prospecting platform 6, and Waii, an enterprise-grade natural language-to-SQL platform 7. These acquisitions aim to deeply integrate artificial intelligence into Salesforce's services, enabling more intuitive data access and more efficient sales processes.
Bluebirds boosts sales prospecting integrated into the Sales Cloud and Agentforce system, while Waii's technology translates plain-language questions into complex, production-ready SQL queries, enhancing Salesforce's Data Cloud.
Informatica, a U.S.-based software company specialising in data integration, data quality, and cloud data management 8, serves industries like finance, healthcare, and retail, and is recognised as a leader in data management by Gartner. Informatica's AI engine, CLAIRE 9, automates data discovery and integration.
Salesforce's acquisition of Informatica 10 will integrate Informatica's data management tools into its broader ecosystem, supporting leading cloud platforms 11 and strengthening Salesforce's capabilities in data management.
Steve Fisher, Salesforce's President and Chief Product Officer, said that the acquisition will turn unstructured artifacts into coordinated workflows, further enhancing Salesforce's suite of AI-driven solutions. The transaction is not expected to interfere with Salesforce's capital return program.
In the coming quarters, these acquisitions will undoubtedly reshape the tech landscape, as Salesforce continues to solidify its position as a leader in AI-driven solutions and data management.
