Bombardier Q400 Makes Safe Emergency Landing After Malfunction
A Bombardier Q400 aircraft, flight number 44889, has safely landed at Batagay airport following a technical malfunction. All 19 passengers and 6 crew members are safe with no reported injuries.
The incident involved a flight from Verkhoyansk District to Yakutsk. However, the aircraft had to return to its point of departure due to the technical issue. Despite the setback, the crew managed to land the plane safely at Batagay airport.
The Russian Investigative Committee has since launched an investigation into the incident. They are looking into the matter under Article 263 of the Criminal Code, which covers violations of air traffic regulations leading to serious consequences.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Meanwhile, all those on board the Bombardier Q400 have been accounted for, with no injuries reported following the safe landing at Batagay airport.
